For my 21st birthday (which is in January I'm just making this early) I'm dragging my friends to stay over night at a hotel/castle called Kryal Castle ([link]). I'm also making everyone dress up!

I already have a medieval dress, a bow, arrows etc etc, swords chainmail and all that jazz, but I wanted a leather cuirass as well!!! So I decided to try and make one out of vinyl (hence the folds... I'm working to fix this) its based loosely on Susan's from the second Narnia movie: [link]

I still have a few things to do to it (ageing the 'leather' etc) but this is pretty much it.

Oh and if you're staring at my skin freaking out at how you can see my veins.. yes I am so pale my skin is see-through :P :P

I never would have guessed that this is in fact not leather. But I WAS wondering how you could make something like that at home because leather is claimed to be extremely hard to sew and stuff.
