WELL! I am DONE! This is my final work for uni EVER, my teachers HATED it

I took a video of it too, walking through it and stuff cos its goes around that corner there and such, its kinda hard to photograph...but I dont know when I'll have a chance to upload it yet...

this is insanely super-cool. why did your tutors hate it? to me it seems like a strong blend of concept and figurative... but god knows, i've had tutors exclaim for hours on how amazing someones giant stick-figure sketch was and ignore other people who painted amazing figurative works. I guess that's what happens in art degrees though.

I feel your pain. I'm at a university that only does conceptual art and doesn't focus enough on technical skill so anyone can draw something and it'll be "amazing", when in fact it's a piece of shit and everyone knows it, but we have to give an in depth meaning to it (Give them an existential meaning to a scrap of paper and they eat that shit up like chocolate). It's all bullshit. I can't do portraiture or anything too "traditional" because it's not conceptual.

And god forbid I actually draw something for a graphic design assignment, because then it becomes too illustrative.

(enough of my rant)

But yeah, this installation is so fantastic!!! I love you style.

I AGREE SO MUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ARGH!! You just described the whole 3 YEARS of my so called 'Fine Arts Degree' It was SO infuriating!!
