Midsummer's Day 10 years after that promise...

also significant because if Lyra and Pan HAD gone through and lived in Will's world they'd only have lasted 10yrs or so...

I suppose this makes Lyra 22ish... the bag is the original bag she carried the alethiometer in through out the books which she still carries it in now and the books are just a FEW of the books she is studying now days to re-learn her talent.



...ALSO, DOSE ANYONE REALISE THE UTTER SIGNIFICANCE OF THIS PARTICULAR BENCH IN OXFARD?!?!?!


IT WAS TOLKIEN’S FAVOURITE BENCH TOO! IT ACTUALLY EXISTS AND IT’S THE EXACT SAME AS ‘THE TOLKIEN BENCH’!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

...yeah when I read about it I was like '...I know that bench!!' and then screamed out loud waking everyone in the house ^^;

pan chose a weaselish creature in teh end eh? i couldn remember. tell em excatly what it is. Its been so long since i read these! Why would Lyra be dead if they'd lved in wills world? wanst it that they would die slowly or soemthing if they lived in a world not their own? I waonder if Lyra and Will ever DID find other people like they said they would. Like, i'm sure, eventully they would but ya know...

Pan ended up as a ';Pine Marten'... Will's dad only lasted 10yrs in Lyra's world, and it was mentioned that if Lyra went to Will's world she'd only last 10 years or so.

Apparently theres a book called 'Lyra's Oxford' which is about her when she older or something. I'm looking into getting myself a copy.

Ok... only the second half of the note made sense to me... but Yay bench! All the same.
